As you may have read in the first part of our paper, Rio de Janeiro stands out from the rest of the world’s cities by the large number of events taking place in each and every month throughout the year. The month of May is no exception, and with the help of this article will continue with the presentation of other important events that we think is attractive not only for locals but also for the thousands of tourists who choose Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, vacation destination. On May 24, Mirian RORARNI Stanescon-organized the “12th Crusade for World Peace.” The aim of this great event that brings together the Gypsies in Brazil is to pay tribute to the Jews, Native, African, and of course Roma, demonstrating union solidarity among peoples, regardless of belief, religion and social status, trying to obtain world peace, which is crucial in today’s hectic world. The event is part of the celebrations of Day of Santa Sara Kali, the holy patron saint of the Gypsies. This event will begin with an ecumenical Mass Roma – blessing, several shows and exhibitions, along with traditional dances. Also appearing Roma manual “The Law in His Hands”, written by Mirian Stanescon Batul and edited by the Department of Human Rights under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and SEPPIR – National Day Celebration of the Gypsy.
The venue for this event will be the Park Girl from Ipanema – Posto 7 – Rua Francisco Otaviano – Arpo.
